In this article by Deloitte’s John D’Angelo, he discusses how Generative AI is poised to change the CRE industry and that while the technology has been around for decades, recent advances have made it much simpler to use and more enabled by natural language inputs. While there is a risk of bias in the algorithm or underlying data sets, generative AI has the potential to automate tasks, improve investor interaction, and enhance big-data analytics in the commercial real estate industry. As the technology becomes more user-friendly, it is likely to disrupt the industry and become more widely adopted.
